There are times our confidence gets a bit of a shake up and who can blame you in this fast paced world where information, opinions and facts are all flying at us at once from all sides! While I believe it takes time to build up your self confidence and a healthy dose of putting yourself out there, there are a few little tricks you can employ to feel confident at any moment. When I think of this first one, I'm always reminded of that episode of Grey's Anatomy when the neurosurgeon strikes a pose before a super intense surgery. I'm not saying you have to be brain surgeon for this one to work, but perhaps this idea could gift you some of that confidence in the face of your challenge.
Hey gang! This is a guest post by the lovely Brad of selfcareing.info who reached out to me about posting. Check out these self-care tips that you may or may not already be sneaking into your day! - Jenn Rose You can’t seem to catch your breath. You have deadlines piling up; you have clutter piling up at home; and your friends are complaining that they never see you. There is so much pressure to be everything to everyone that you struggle to be something meaningful for yourself. Self-care is the victim of our fast-paced, to-do-list-obsessed, and achievement-driven society. We take on too much because doing more has become the standard. But, researchers and doctors agree, it’s not sustainable and is taking a toll on our health both mentally and physically. It’s time to make yourself a priority. Self-care doesn’t mean you are being selfish or putting responsibilities on to others. When you take the time to care for yourself, you are making sure you are better able to care for others.

This week I ran into Shiva's Seven Secrets of Success. Back in November we took some time to check in with that gratitude mindset towards others and of course for yourself! We see a lot of posts on social media about gratitude during the holidays, but what about connecting with that feeling when it's no longer being published in every social media post/etc. to remind us to do it? 1. Journal it out.
Always my first suggestion. Taking the time to write something out helps us to organize our thoughts and give us time to really feel it. Also, if you write it down you can go back to it later and remember that feeling of gratitude or joy. What stories would your body share if it could speak for you? Would it tell of the gall bladder surgery when you were thirteen or of the beautiful dance performance with that gorgeous group in Las Vegas on a legendary stage? Perhaps that tooth you lost when you got hit by a snowball? Or maybe how your fingernails feel fancy when they're freshly painted? What stories do you tell your body? Do you stare in the mirror with love or ..... ? Often times our body stories are a mix of our past and our feelings.
The wanting to be something that we aren't right now and not enjoying the journey or the present moment. I'm all for tuning out social media and turning your phone off every now again, but hear me out! Perhaps your cellphone could be your most mindful tool yet. Based on the apps and settings you have in place your phone could be a great tool for wellness, mindfulness, magic and meditation. Let's dive deeper...
