Can you be fully involved in a task/event that you let go completely and just focus on the given moment? Is that even possible? I had a Saturday off. Plans were cancelled and I was free. What does one do on a free Saturday? The options were endless. Of course the constant battle with housework crossed my mind, but it would still be there tomorrow. I needed something social but low key. Then my little sister called. She was free as well, but what shall we do? Let's step out of the day to day tasks and do something fun. Bring a pretty dress and let's have a tea party. We made lavender tea bread, mini pies and four kinds of tea. We dressed up and took pictures. We got outside the mundane and created something beautiful for ourselves. It was lovely.
Sure, the idea of "Let's have a tea party" sounds crazy and childish... but, what if we played more in life? What if we created more fun? What if we let that inner child out more often to create without consequences? Could we let go of critiques and just be in creation? Living in the moment and really just enjoying it. - Jenn Rose |
