I like to write from personal experience; my current location on this journey called LIFE.
That being said, today, a few hours after this post goes live I will be teaching a Yoga & Essential Oils workshop inspired by the new DoTerra Yoga Collection oil blend "Anchor".
Though I love dressing up as a pirate, I will admit I have never dropped an anchor aboard a ship. Nor do I know if the anchor has other uses besides stabilizing a boat/ship/etc.
So I visualize an anchor being similar to the roots of a tree. Rooting down and grounding a ship on rough seas to find balance.
With this thought in mind, I recently posted on Instagram the following statements:
"Plant your roots down to the bedrock of your soul. When threatened by the winds of change, go inwards to find yourself."
I've been thinking about this for some time now. If we truly know ourselves, how can we be threatened by change? If we have rooted into our souls and understand our beliefs so much, we can always reconnect to that when it's being questioned.
I believe it all comes back to really understanding who you are as a person.
We have a choice to make.
To stay threatened by change or go inward and see what part of ourselves is actually rising up to this challenge?
Knowing who we are at our core will guide us in the stormy seas of life.
Dig those roots deep and know when to drop your anchors, friends.
