Before we begin, I just want to send out a bit of gratitude to all of you that read my blog and interact with me on Facebook or in the comments! A few of you have even been sharing my posts!! THANK YOU!! <3 This week's topic of choice, Falling into the rhythm of Autumn. ;) Let's start of with one of my favorite quotes.... The seasonal cycle has an affect on us. We are finally feeling those chilly fall mornings here in central New York. The leaves are moving beyond their peak coloration and starting to let go and fall to the earth below. In our busy hustle and bustle world we push through, living as though the cycles in nature do not affect us... but I wager it shows up when we notice we've over done it and illness steps in to make us rest. What if we did "Live in each season as it passes"? If we followed the example of the trees and let go of that which no longer serves us? What if we turned inward during the darker portion of the year, reflected on the positives and designed how we want the next growing season to look for our goals? Of course we are use to setting goals at the beginning of the calendar year, but let's first take stock in those good things that we planted, nourished and grew into new careers, businesses, habits, life styles, traditions, etc.
Give yourself a pat on the back. Reflect to those good things. <3 Then check-in on those things that didn't work or aren't serving your growth. The extra uncompensated hours at a job you hate, the negative friendships that drag your vibe down, the gym membership that you never use, etc. Finally, let's make plan for continued growth. How can we keep moving forward with those good things and your goals? --- And away from those things that no longer serve you! Then get yourself a cup of warm spiced apple cider, you deserve it. - Jenn Rose |
