Last week, I slipped and fell on the tiniest patch of ice. My knee was sore, cut and bleeding. To feel better I thought I would treat myself to a cup of coffee, but on the way I dropped my mug and it shattered... When you're having "A Day" it's hard to feel better. We've already resigned the rest of the day to be a "BAD Day". Making matters worse, we complain to anyone who will listen about our "Bad Day". Sound familiar? If you're having a tough day and feeling bad, you've probably reached the point where you're focusing on the bad things that are happening. Thus making it difficult to be positive to those around you! Now, those negative vibes and "Bad Day" moods are being passed onto others, creating a negative domino effect.
STOP! Give yourself a second to feel it. Go cry in the bathroom at work for two minutes. Let that sh!t go! Then take a deep breathe. Stop and think about something good that happened during the day or this week. Watch a funny video. Think about your lover. Get your mind out of the "bad day" vibes. Get off that negative thought and on to something good. Change your feelings to change your day. It's not easy when you're feeling down, but I know you can do. You are an amazing, beautiful person having an experience. It's up to us how we choose to react to those experiences. Hint: Choosing positive will feel better. ;) Breathing deep, - Jenn Rose (Photo by chuttersnap on Unsplash) |
