Last time I may have over done it with the essential oils. Ha Ha! Any way here are some other fun ides that you can make at home. Mason Jar Cookie Mix: This is a big hit for co-workers, that you aren't sure what to gift. I mean who doesn't like fresh out of the oven cookies?! Take any cookie recipe you like and layer the dry ingredients in a quart size mason jar (fits most recipes). Make it fancier by adjusting the layers based on colors. For example white flour, then brown sugar, then white sugar, etc. Make sure to print out a small tag that states any wet ingredients that need to be added (eggs, milk/etc.), as well as the oven temperature and how long to bake. Mason Jar Cocoa Mix: Another mason jar?! Yes, I love them. There's two ways you can do this one! You can DIY your cocoa mix recipe and layer the ingredients, like the cookies above. Try a recipe like this one. Or if you're pressed for time buy one of the big mixed cocoa canisters and a bag of mini marsh mellows. Fill up the jar approx 2/3 of cocoa and 1/3 marsh mellows. Tie on a bow and gift away! Want to kick it up a notch? When you tie on that bow, add a small bottle of Irish Cream for your drinking age friends. Get your baking on!
One time I gave everyone in my office mini scones (in a mason jar of course lol). I've also made mini sweet bread loaves for everyone. Pick a recipe you love and make a bunch to share. Tie it up with twine, parchment paper and ribbons. It's the presentation and the taste that makes these DIYs extra special.
