Delight on the Daily...

As you may know, from some of my other posts, I absolutely adore Gala Darling. I recently signed up for her Dare/Dream/Do and Radical Self Love Boot Camp programs and am working my way through the essays, tips and worksheets. Before I get super into this, I have to say she is no longer offering these programs as of two days ago! :( :( I know, sad faces.... BUT there are plans she has set in motion for new things that I am beyond excited about.  
Before I continue down that rabbit hole, let's jump up to that quote at the top of this post. "Life is too short not to feel delight on the daily!", from the lovely Gala Darling. This week has been a rough go at figuring out my personal patterns and the constant work to change them. As a result, I have been a bit too hard on myself; then this gorgeous reminder from Gala. 

We have to remind ourselves, as we improve ourselves, that change doesn't happen over night. It's similar to a change in your fitness or nutrition regime. If we change too much too soon we are likely to fail. We must start small and keep practicing. It's the same idea when we are trying to change habits in our speech, thought process and personal patterns.

We have to give ourselves some credit where credit is due! Reward yourself by first noticing the negative habit and making an active choice NOT to repeat your negative patterns. Each small step is a win!

Catch yourself before you fall into some negative self talk? Pat yourself on the back or better yet, give yourself a hug! Not only will these rewards help you to keep making the needed pattern changes, it's bound to boost your self esteem too. It's a little love note to yourself each time.

So delight yourself, you deserve it. Be happy with your wins and enjoy today. Here are some little delights you can add to your day:
  • Take a walk in the sunshine
  • Write a love letter to yourself
  • Read a good book
  • Take a hot bath with Epsom salts & essential oils
  • Do some yoga <3
  • Meditation (Try the Calm app)
  • Listen to music and dance around your kitchen
  • Try a new food
  • Buy yourself a latte
  • Read some fun magazines
  • Dress up in your fanciest clothes and take a selfie
  • Make a collage

Off to reward myself with a cup of coffee!
